Canada Day in Kanata needs you!

We are looking for energetic volunteers to help make our event another success. It’s a great way to build your volunteer experience, get involved in your community, meet new people, and show your Canadian pride. It’s also a great opportunity for high school students to secure some or all of their required volunteer hours. Over 100 volunteers are needed for various positions.

Volunteering opportunities are for Adults, seniors and students, come and help out one of the largest community events of the year.


Positions Available

Volunteer
(June 30th, July 1st, and July 2nd)

Actively and enthusiastically participate in various tasks around the park. Roles may include monitoring and facilitating with bouncy castles, managing overall site cleanliness, setup/tear-down duties, and adapting to tasks as they arise.

Specialized Assistance to Management
(June 30th, July 1st and July 2nd)

Specialized training with Canada Day management on process of dealing with and locating lost children, deal with additional tasks as they arise and report directly to the Admin tent. Deliver equipment and Pick up stuff for the event manager and other related duties as required. Cover off breaks for certain areas around the park. cover admin tent when site event Staff are out. Specialized assistant must have volunteered for at least 1 Canada Day event in the past or be over 18 years of age.
